I think its funny how every one got all fired up over my previous comments, but yet this whole country was built on slavery. Im willing to bet half of the great presidents we had, had slaves. I also think its funny that people are so concerned about hiding their heritage. If you are from here u cant tell me that ur family isn't some bit hicky, and everyone tries to butter people up on here so they can seem so much more greater than thou, and higher on the pedestal than everyone else, when we are really just all a bunch of hicks, and im not afraid to admit it, nor will I butter up my thoughts about the matter.

just in case you forgot, the North never had slavery (and if any it was very short in duration)... and even before the dawn of the industrial age, the North concentrated more so on trade, banking, furs, mining, etc... and the North was responsible for a great majority of our nation's GDP, EVEN during the heyday of the cash crop plantations like indigo, tobacco, and king cotton

You're just so delusionally racist now that you're making up your own version of history...

And also just in case you forgot, slavery had all but ended in the south for a good couple of decades until the invention of the cotton gin... and even so, cash cropping pretty much ruined much of the soil of the south (even before Sherman's march to the sea) that the big plantation days were numbered as soon as it began

First off, the country was not built on slavery you dumbass....Second, Im not explaining how the country was built because youre one of these people that are too stupid to believe the truth. Third, yes presidents owned slaves, times change, people as wonderful as Dr King have paved a way for all people, not just black people so that everyone can have equal rights. Last, how people want to have themselves percieved is their own business. Everyone has a stereotype, you can either be a hick, a dirty jew, a shady politican, whatever, but in your case you are a racist and it doesnt even matter what you have to say.
