When is the town hall meeting about consolidation again? Somebody said something about that.

after all that you must have talked to the crack heads at pv cause i have personally talked to a few people and consolidation is somethin most want to happen in high school.

You all have to remember one thing, The schoolboard can vote to consolidate all they want, but it is ultimately up to the Board of Supervisors to give them the money to build. I don't think that will happen, given the state's financial bind now, not to mention the country's predicament.

You may be wrong there in that I think it was the BOS that did not want to cough up money for patches on 6 schools that would need to be repatched within 10 years.
That being said IMHO money will be in short supply for the next few years so the smartist thing to do at this point would be......commision a new study!!!!! [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif[/img]
IMO, consolidation for Wise Co. is nothing more than a "pie in the sky"...it's been way too politicized now for it to take place in the near future. When elections roll around they will try to replace members that either vote for or against it, and it will reamin an issue for the next decade or so.

The schools will never last another decade though.

As far as being modern, they for the most part were outdated in the late 80's...that is when renovations were needed. BTW, if they renovate schools every 10-15 years, a school could stand as long as ya wnated it to.

That sounds like it'd be about 100x's more expensive than new schools over a 50 year period.
