Should take it through MECC then...classes count the same credit. If a person wants to go to UVA Wise, they shoudl have to pay the college cost...cuz it's available at MECC for less than half than what it costs to go to UVAW.</div></div>
So a St. Paul student should have to drive to BSG to go to MECC?
This just goes back to equal and fair - the opportunities are not at all equal when it comes to forcing dual enrollment for students that want higher level courses. </div></div>
So, are you guys wanting a high school or a college....there is a difference you know.

as stated before, each class MECC offeres to students is 53 dollars. I think it is the same for UVAW as well.

No a St. Paul kid should have the course taught at thier school like every other remote HS should do. The school I taught at was about 40 miles from MECC, but they still got MECC credit cuz they were taught by an adjunct...believe me, more course offerings has no weight in the consolidation argument. Unless a college is paid tuition through either financial aid or out of pocket, the student isn't going to get college credit. So even if they offered organic chemistry, the student won't get college credit for it...so really what's the point in taking it twice?

To teach in the high school now the teacher must have a masters in the field of study. Big problem happened this year at jjk because of this.

I got my associates degree from MECC at a grand total cost to me of $15...and I was poor as dirt.
